Responsible for the functional hazard assessment (FHA) and failure mode
effects analysis (FMEA) for the B747 Main Deck Cargo Control System's (CCS)
supplemental type certification data package. On-site (first 3 days at TRW
in N Dakota) meetings with program manager, engineers and lab techs to
become technically familiar with system design, operation and how CCS is
used on-aircraft, safety considerations, etc; brainstormed / problem-solved,
exchanged ideas and recommended approach and level of analysis used to
support the STC effort. Remainder of contract was performed Off-site –
w/schematics / assembly drawings / phone / email, i.e. drafted, revised and
delivered final FHA and FMEA reports.
