| In this workshop, we
will explore the purpose
of FMEAs, review some of the failure costs that FMEAs minimize, describe the
relationship between FMEA and System Safety, list some of the benefits to product integrity
and company reputation resulting from effectual FMEA, and briefly delve into the subject of
product robustness. The photo below shows some of the effects of a landing gear failure on a B-747. Failures of this nature can be catastrophic, resulting in potential for injury or loss of life as well as tremendous financial liability and capital equipment losses. |
